In a widely expected move, Caesars Entertainment properties in Las Vegas are now charging patrons for the privilege of parking their own cars in the multi storey car parks near their casinos. It was logical that once one major casino brand broke ranks and started charging, other would follow, and follow they are doing!
Parking will remain free at the Rio, and free for players with Platinum (or above) reward cards. With Wynn, MGM and Caesars now charging for parking, the days of leaving your car in a casino lot for free…often for weeks are over.
“We have noticed an uptick in people coming to our properties only to park,” said Richard Broome, executive vice president of public affairs and communications at Caesars. “This has limited the availability of self-parking for our actual customers — especially during concerts and sporting events taking place elsewhere on the Las Vegas Strip.”
