Wynn-Encore becomes the latest Vegas Casino to charge customers to use parking facilities, with new charging structure set to be introduced on 7th August 2017. Wynn-Encore joins MGM, Cosmopolitan and Caesar’s in breaking this once long standing Las Vegas tradition.
The new self-parking fees at Wynn-Encore are:
• First hour complimentary
• $7 for 1-2 hours
• $12 for 2–4 hours
• $15 for 4–24 hours
• $15 for each additional 24 hours
Due to the pending opening of a shopping plaza as well as the construction of Paradise Park, the fees are needed to “ensure parking is easily accessible for guests,” the company said in a statement.
Paradise Park is the name of the proposed lagoon-based development the resort is planning for the golf course that lies to the east of Wynn-Encore
The only drivers eligible for a discount or even waiving of the parking fees are likely to be, Red Card-holding members of Wynn-Encore’s loyalty program and possibly customers attending special events or conventions.
Everyone else, including Las Vegas locals and hotel guests, will have to pay. Caesars offer free parking to locals.
The move will inevitably encourage more people to use public transport and cabs, and should help ease congestion on that side of the Strip and on Paradise Road.
